The renewable energy transition will require a mining boom. The demand for copper, cobalt, lithium, zinc, and other resources is growing rapidly. Batteries, wind turbines and solar and power lines need critical minerals (as do hydro, geothermal, nuclear, and hydrogen technologies). But meeting the demand for these is not going to be easy, especially if it is to be done sustainably and without displacing communities.

We are seeking seed-stage companies who are developing cleaner approaches to mining these critical minerals and/or who are developing solutions or technologies allowing us to be less dependent upon them as we begin to shift away from fossil fuels to renewable alternatives.
